What If I've Never Been Able To Pick My Niche?

So what if I do a lot of different things and I've never been able to sort of pick my niche? We work with a lot of different therapists, psychologists, somatic workers, and a lot of time the nature of what they do is extremely holistic, and the impact and change that they're able to create in the lives of the individuals that they work with impact everything. There's not a part of their life that's left untouched.

And so to pick just one thing or one niche can feel quite reductive, or it strips the essence of the message that you're here to bring forth. And so the way that I think about this is essentially you've got a doorway into your body of work. And so if you try and go to the marketplace with your whole body of work and look at everything and everything that I have, it's going to kind of speak to nobody.

So the way that I think about positioning and niches is not necessarily like 35-year-old people from Manhattan that need their second f*****g tooth removed. I think about it as a particular desire or problem that they're sort of having in their life, less of a demographic. And so with an embodiment coach, embodiment, it will affect every area of your life. But we look at maybe the clients that they've had before or where they're most prolific in their work, or where they have some of the most counterintuitive sort of ideas that haven't been placed in by the market yet.

And we create a big idea for the book based on that sort of lane. And it's through that lane that then the person gets introduced to the whole body of work. And it is possible over time to write different books that hit little parts of the market that bring multiple avatars into your core sort of body of work.
